Care instructions

CARE FOR YOUR LATEX PILLOW

We recommend that the pillow should not be washed. If cleaning is needed, spot cleaning only. Do not lay out the latex pillow in the sun for drying, which may change the color of the latex.

Here are steps to follow to wash the pillow cover:
1. Remove pillow case (may be hand-washed or machine-washed)
2. Fill container or sink with warm water
3. Add mild detergent
4. Soak a clean towel in the mixture and wring dry
5. Blot the pillow with the cloth, paying more attention on stains
6. After blotting, place fresh towels on both sides of the pillow and press excess
moisture
7. Air dry flat and away from direct sunlight
8. Cover your latex pillow with clean pillow case.

HOW TO WASH YOUR WOOL PILLOW

Natural Wool fiber is a sensitive material that requires some thoughtful care to ensure its unique advantages long-term.

Washing
  • Do NOT wash wool with other loads in a standard cycle.
    • Wool fibers will shrink and felt in a normal wash cycle, meaning they will mat together into a smooth texture.
    • Hot water and hot drying accelerates this process, making fibers lumpy.
  • Use a large commercial size washer with a 60lb or more capacity. This allows ease in water flow while preventing fiber lumping.
  • Select delicate wash cycle with cold wash in a front-loading machine.
  • Spot cleaning is recommended as the least invasive method of cleaning

Drying

  • Use a large dryer on a low-temperature setting. Never use a hot dryer or a small home dryer as either will damage the material
  • Ensure that the pillows are tumbling all the time without being stagnant at one position due to its size or other items obstructing its movement. Air needs to circulate in the dryer and not hit the same region of the pillow.
  • Do not attempt to dry more than two pillows at a time, and do not run mixed loads.
  • Additional fluffing requires a separate fluff cycle after drying
Don’t forget to change out pillowcases regularly when frequent washing is expected. If you’re inclined to wash your pillows frequently, consider buying pillows with synthetic fillings like down alternative that can withstand any wash cycle frequently.

HOW TO WASH YOUR COTTON PILLOW

Here are easy and effective steps to consider when washing Organic Cotton pillows:

  1. Remove any pillow cases before washing, as they must be washed separately.
  2. Place no more than two pillows into the washing machine at a time to give it proper space to be washed.
  3. Ensure that the machine is large enough to fit two pillows. Typically, a 50-pound and above washing machine is recommended. Although there may be room to squeeze in pillows, that does not guarantee it's of adequate size. The machine should be large enough to allow free flow of water to avoid lumping.
  4. Add your detergent to the washing machine. It is recommended to add about a cup of the detergent with a small amount of fabric softener.
  5. Start your washer, run it with cold water and adjust your settings so that the washer goes through a 2nd cycle.
  6. After washing, place your cotton pillow into the dryer on a low setting.
  7. Don’t start your dryer yet! Pro-tip: get two tennis balls and stuff them into two clean socks. These tennis balls will help maintain your pillows’ fluffiness and help decrease drying time as they bob around in the dryer.
  8. Check your pillows - make sure they're fully dry. Though outer layers may appear dry, inner layers can be moist. If not dry, hand fluff the pillow and run through another drying cycle.
